Profile for Travel & General Insurance Services Limited

introduction

The Travel & General Group (t&g) provides its travel related insurance products via two main subsidiary companies; Travel & General Insurance Company (tgic) and Travel & General Insurances Services Limited (tagis).

Our knowledge

tgic issue bonds for more travel organisers than any other insurer, and we are the only UK authorised insurer formed specifically to provide bonding to the travel industry. We attribute our success in this niche market both to the strength of our product and the breadth of our industry knowledge. We have been operating in the UK travel market since 1983 and have gained a wealth of experience that can be shared making tgic an ideal partner in the modern insurance market.

tagis is the specialist intermediary division of t&g and its role is to provide a convenient solution for different types of insurances required by travel organisers and agents. Having built on the success of those early days tagis now takes a fuller part in the Group’s business activities by providing travel related insurance products beyond the tgic clients. These products include; travel insurance for travel organisers to sell onto their customers plus individual travel insurance policies, liability insurance for travel organisers and travel agents, office buildings and contents insurance; and combined office and liability insurance.

Our approach

Friendly, efficient, supportive

At t&g we have built our reputation on offering a tailored service based on a detailed understanding of each travel organiser’s insurance needs. Many years in the UK travel market has taught us the value of personal service, and whether working with an established organiser or a fledgling business, we have the industry knowledge and experience necessary to make our partnership with you a success. We also realise that our clients’ main focus is the development of their business. Partnership with an established insurance specialist frees them from the complexities of insurance matters and allows them to concentrate on their core business.
